It is with regret that Lifeline Syria wishes to announce that Lesley Brown has decided to step down from her position as an Executive Director to pursue other opportunities effective December 23rd.
The organization would like to recognize Lesley’s contribution during her time with Lifeline Syria since July 2016. Lesley contributed to implementing new processes that enhanced the organization and brought innovative initiatives to the pressing issues of Syrian refugee resettlement. Lesley will be missed and we wish her all the best.
“Until we appoint a new Executive Director, the President and CEO will also act in that capacity and will work with our very devoted team to ensure smooth and successful continuation in the organization’s activities” Frank Palmay-Chair said.
Lifeline Syria is a community engagement initiative launched in June 2015 in response to the ongoing humanitarian Syrian refugees crisis. Lifeline Syria is now on track to achieve and exceed its originally stated objective of assisting private groups to sponsor and support the resettlement of 1,000 Syrian refugees as permanent residents in the GTA by 2017.
